2016 Spring Concert
The BSVA Spring Concert is the showcase event of the year. It consists of group selections of classical repertoire and our best violin soloists! This annual event provides the opportunity for new students to play on the big stage with their older peer artists, who are honing their skills as soloists. Music is not only a practice, but an opportunity to share. And students learn through the experience of performance.
In 2016, we featured a full set of music from Japan as our international focus. In the Suzuki tradition, the concert ends with a Suzuki “play-down.” Everyone participates in the finale, the “Orange Blossum Special” one of our traditional featured encore favorites, that raises the roof in a passionate fit of fiery improvisation!
